Ivan Toney To Score

There was much debate about whether Toney or Watkins would make Southgate’s 26-man squad however, the England manager has made the decision to take both.

This should be an opportunity for England to boost their confidence ahead of the Euros next week and I can see this being a high scoring game for England.

Iceland were beaten by Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 not long ago, a side that England defeated 3-0 on Monday and they conceded 16 goals in 10 games in a very average Euro qualifying group that saw them concede four to Slovenia and three to Luxembourg.

We are expected to see Ivan Toney get a chance up front tonight and potentially be on penalties and with Southgate still to decide the pecking order of the three strikers, he has everything to prove.

Sverrir Ingi Ingason To Be Shown a Card

Sverrir Ingi Ingason looks like a value bet to get a card tonight.

He has eight yellow cards in 24 matches in the Superliga this season playing for Midtjylland and picked up two cards in Iceland’s European qualifiers.

He faces the barrage of England’s attack tonight which could feature the likes of Anthony Gordon who averages 2.1 times fouled per 90 minutes, Eze who averages 2.2 and Toney who averages 1.8.

I think he will likely be in the thick of it tonight and is certainly not adverse to a rash challenge (8 yellow cards in 24 games but averages 0.5 fouls per game).
