Netherlands take on Poland in the first game of Group D at the Euro 2024 tournament as they go on the pursuit of their second ever European Championship trophy.
Poland vs Netherlands Predictions
Poland's quest to progress to the last-16 has been dealt a blow due to the absence of Robert Lewandowski. They are at least unbeaten in eight heading into their Group D opener, and claimed commendable pre-Euros wins over Ukraine and Turkiye.
Netherlands will also seek to navigate a tricky first match of Euro 2024 without two of their three starting central midfielders after Teun Koopmeiners and Frenkie de Jong pulled out of the squad. The Oranje at least trounced Canada and Iceland in the build up to the Euros.
Even without their main starting central midfielders, Netherlands should open their Euros campaign with a win.
Score Prediction: Poland 1-3 Netherlands (14/1 at bet365)

Poland vs Netherlands Betting Tips
Poland have failed to score in just one of their eight matches since Michal Probierz took over the team. The upturn in from under the new boss has been staggering and they look dangerous ahead of their opening game. They have scored an average of two goals per game under Probierz.
The Netherlands have won six of their last seven matches. They won both of their warmup games 4-0 but Iceland and Canada don’t pose the same threat that Poland do. The Dutch deserve their favourites tag for this one but the absence of Frenkie De Jong in midfield means I fancy them to concede.
