20:00 Tuesday

Last year's champions will battle it out against the winners from the year before, with only one team able to secure a spot in the Champions League round of 16.

Man City vs Real Madrid Prediction

  • Manchester City came from behind to book their spot in the next round of the FA Cup and they'll look to make it back-to-back competitive wins when they take on Real Madrid on Tuesday.
  • City have won their last four at the Etihad Stadium, which bodes well for their midweek Champions League playoff clash.
  • Los Blancos have failed to win back-to-back league matches following their 1-1 draw with city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.
  • They have drawn three of their last four meetings with Manchester City, but have lost three of their last four trips to the Etihad.
  • Both sides have issues at the back, which should appeal to the neutrals.
  • Fans could witness another stalemate between these two sides, with plenty of goals on offer.

Score Prediction: Man City 2-2 Real Madrid

  • New signing Nico Gonzalez was forced off in the first half of Manchester City's 2-1 FA Cup win at Leyton Orient on Saturday and is expected to miss out.
  • Oscar Bobb, Ederson, Nathan Ake and Jeremy Doku will be assessed, but Rodri is absent for the home side.

  • That said, Carlo Ancelotti remains without Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba for Tuesday's game in Manchester.
  • Aurelien Tchouameni should therefore partner Raul Asencio at the heart of the defence, while Dani Ceballos may be given the nod to start alongside Federico Valverde in midfield.

Man City vs Real Madrid Bet Builder Tips

Our Bet Builder tips for Man City vs Real Madrid features Mbappe over 1.5 Shots on Target, Haaland Over 1.5 Shots on Target and Matheus Nunes Over 1.5 Fouls

At the time of publishing it is a best price of 10/1 with BetMGM.

Mbappe is in fine form, scoring six goals in his last five games and has at least two shots on target in seven of his last eight games and has 15 in eight appearances in the Champions League.

He faces a Man City defence that isn't anywhere near as strong as it was in previous seasons (conceded the 10th most goals in the Premier League) and should get chances.

Man City might be struggling but Haaland is still putting up impressive numbers and hitting the target consistently. He has two or more shots on target in six of his last eight games and has seven goals in his last eight games.

Matheus Nunes will be up against Vinicius Junior who draws an average of 2.33  per 90 and attempts a massive 7.44 take ons per 90 minutes.

He is averaging 1.1 fouls per game but I expect Madrid's tricky winger to target Nunes, who is playing out of position at right back.
