  • PSG head into Wednesday's welcome of Liverpool in absolutely sublime form with a 4-1 win over Lille at the weekend extending their winning streak to 10 matches. 
  • The French giants haven't lost since a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich back in November 22 games ago, during which they have won 19 times. 
  • Liverpool reaffirmed their position as title favourites with back-to-back league wins over Manchester City and Newcastle recently, and they head into Wednesday's game top by 13 points, albeit having played a game more. 
  • The Reds haven't been great on their travels in 2025, winning only three of nine away matches, but did have the weekend off owing to the FA Cup, so will be well rested. 
  • PSG have lost just the once at home this season, though that did come in the Champions League as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid in November. 
  • The French side may be in imperious form, but Liverpool are arguably the toughest opponents they could have drawn in the last-16 of the Champions League. Arne Slot's side may just claim a narrow first leg advantage on Wednesday.

  • PSG boss Luis Enrique has the luxury of a fully fit squad to select from ahead of Wednesday's welcome of Liverpool. Vitinha, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Willian Pacho all dropped to the bench for Saturday's 4-1 win over Lille, but the trio should return to the starting XI for this midweek clash. 
  • Desire Doue is another option for Enrique with the 19-year-old in good form of late, though the PSG boss may opt for the experience of Fabian Ruiz alongside Vitinha and Joao Neves in the middle of the park. 
  • Amara Nallo is suspended owing to his dismissal in the 3-2 defeat to PSV in January, though he wouldn't have started anyway. Nor would have injured trio Joe Gomez, Conor Bradley and Tyler Morton, with Arne Slot's key personnel all fit and available for the midweek trip to Paris. 
  • Slot does have a couple of selection dilemmas with Luis Diaz expected to get the nod ahead of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota in attack. 
  • Curtis Jones is also likely to start from the bench against PSG.
