Saturday's EFL schedule throws up plenty of appealing goals markets, and we have picked out four fixtures for a 9/1 Both Teams to Score accumulator.
Bristol City vs Portsmouth and Stockport vs Wycombe provide two particularly strong early-season BTTS trends, while Newport vs Tranmere and Crawley vs Bristol Rovers complete the four-fold following some high-scoring starts and vulnerable defensive records.

Bristol City vs Portsmouth: Both Teams to Score
Portsmouth have quickly established themselves as one of the more reliable Both Teams to Score sides in the Championship. BTTS has landed in all three of their competitive matches this season, with John Mousinho's side losing 3-1 to West Ham in the Carabao Cup, suffering another 3-1 defeat against QPR and then responding with a 3-1 victory at Lincoln City last weekend.
Portsmouth's final three Championship fixtures of last season finished 5-1 against Coventry, 3-1 against Stoke and 1-1 against Birmingham, meaning both teams have now scored in each of their last six competitive matches.
Across that sequence, Portsmouth have scored 10 times but conceded 16, neatly illustrating why their games continue to appeal for this market.
Their away numbers from 2025/26 add further weight to the selection. Portsmouth scored 24 goals and conceded 41 across 23 Championship away matches, an average of 2.83 total goals per fixture. They kept only four clean sheets on their travels but still managed to score in 17 of those 23 games.
Bristol City also showed considerably more attacking promise last weekend after drawing blanks against Walsall and Millwall. Scott Twine and Dom Ballard were both on target in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Birmingham, with Ballard's late goal putting the Robins on the brink of victory before a stoppage-time penalty denied them.
With Bristol City beginning to find their feet in attack and Portsmouth carrying a six-game BTTS streak, goals at both ends look a strong opening leg.
Stockport vs Wycombe: Both Teams to Score
Few fixtures on Saturday's League One card offer a stronger early-season case for Both Teams to Score.
BTTS has landed in all four of Stockport's competitive matches this season, with the Hatters drawing 1-1 with Doncaster, beating Plymouth 3-1, thrashing Everton U21s 6-3 and losing 2-1 to Blackpool.
Stockport have therefore scored 11 goals and conceded seven, with their matches averaging an enormous 4.5 goals per game.
Wycombe have produced exactly the same BTTS consistency. Their four competitive fixtures have finished 1-2, 1-1, 1-1 and 1-1, meaning the Chairboys have both scored and conceded against Stevenage, Blackpool, Reading and Plymouth.
That means every competitive match involving either Stockport or Wycombe this season has seen both teams score, giving us a combined eight BTTS results from eight games.
The relevant venue splits offer further encouragement. Stockport have played three competitive matches at Edgeley Park this season and BTTS has landed in all three, with those fixtures producing 14 goals. Wycombe's two away games have both finished 1-1, showing they can find the net on the road without yet managing an away clean sheet.
There was plenty of attacking quality in both teams last season as well. Stockport scored 71 goals in 46 League One games, while Wycombe struck 69, and both sides conceded 58.
With Stockport scoring freely but yet to shut an opponent out and Wycombe developing a remarkably consistent BTTS profile, goals at both ends looks one of the standout selections in Saturday's EFL.
Newport vs Tranmere: Both Teams to Score
Both Newport and Tranmere have already shown enough attacking threat to make goals at either end appealing at Rodney Parade.
Newport have scored in all three competitive matches this season, drawing 1-1 with AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup, beating Rochdale 3-0 and then losing a remarkable 5-3 thriller at Bristol Rovers. Christian Fuchs' side have therefore scored seven goals across those three fixtures, with BTTS landing twice.
Tranmere have followed a similar pattern. Their campaign began with a 2-2 draw against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup preliminary round before a 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury and last weekend's 1-1 draw at Port Vale.
Andy Crosby's side have also scored in every competitive match so far, with BTTS landing in two of their three fixtures.
The defensive records carried over from last season make this selection even more attractive. Newport conceded 77 goals across 46 League Two matches, while Tranmere allowed 79, meaning the clubs shipped a combined 156 league goals.
Despite those defensive problems, the two sides still scored 102 goals between them, creating exactly the sort of profile that suits the BTTS market.
There is also encouragement from their most recent meeting, when Newport beat Tranmere 3-1 at Rodney Parade in March.
Crawley vs Bristol Rovers: Both Teams to Score
Bristol Rovers have quickly become one of League Two's most entertaining teams, with Both Teams to Score landing in each of their last three competitive matches.
The Gas lost 3-2 at York City before beating Newport in a remarkable 5-3 thriller and then drawing 2-2 with Chelsea U21s in the EFL Trophy.
Those three matches have produced 17 goals at an average of 5.67 per game, with Bristol Rovers scoring nine and conceding eight.
Their defensive vulnerability away from home is nothing new. Rovers conceded 37 goals across 23 League Two away matches last season, an average of 1.61 per game, but they also scored 25 themselves.
Their away fixtures therefore produced 62 goals at an average of 2.70 per match, suggesting Crawley should get opportunities at Broadfield Stadium while Rovers retain enough attacking threat to contribute themselves.
Crawley's start has been less chaotic, but Scott Lindsey's side showed their attacking ability with a 2-1 victory at Rochdale last weekend. Their home matches also regularly featured chances at both ends last season, with Crawley scoring 26 and conceding 28 across 23 league fixtures at Broadfield Stadium.
The most recent meeting provides another useful pointer, with Bristol Rovers beating Crawley 3-1 in April.
With the Gas' last three competitive matches finishing 3-2, 5-3 and 2-2, this looks another fixture where backing clean sheets is difficult.
