West Ham are still searching for their first Championship victory following a 2-2 draw at Burnley and a 2-1 defeat to Charlton, but their attacking numbers suggest a breakthrough could arrive at Vicarage Road.
Nuno Espírito Santo's side have scored in all four competitive matches this season, finding the net 10 times in total after beating Portsmouth 3-1 and Southampton 4-1 in the Carabao Cup alongside their two league outings.
Their away performances have been particularly encouraging. West Ham scored twice at Burnley before surrendering a late two-goal advantage, then produced an emphatic 4-1 victory at Southampton on Tuesday, despite Nuno making eight changes and naming four teenagers.
Watford have taken four points from their opening two Championship fixtures, beating Southampton 2-1 before drawing 1-1 at Wrexham, but Tuesday's Carabao Cup result provided a major warning. A much-changed Hornets side suffered a 5-1 home defeat to League One Peterborough, meaning Watford have conceded seven goals across their last three competitive matches.
West Ham look better than their early league position suggests. They have already scored six goals across two away matches, and even a heavily rotated XI was capable of putting four past Championship opposition in midweek. Against a Watford side coming off a bruising five-goal home defeat, the Hammers' greater attacking quality can make the difference.

Sheffield Wednesday have endured a mixed opening to life back in League One, but there have been enough positive signs to make them worth backing against newly promoted Bromley at Hillsborough.
Henrik Pedersen's side began their competitive campaign by beating Bolton 1-0 in the Carabao Cup before opening their league season with a 2-1 victory at Leyton Orient. Their subsequent defeats have come against early League One leaders Bradford and Championship opposition Wolves.
The 1-0 defeat to Bradford was particularly harsh based on the underlying numbers. Wednesday enjoyed 60% possession, registered 13 shots and generated around 1.49 expected goals compared with Bradford's 0.59. They also recorded 30 touches in the opposition penalty area compared with Bradford's 18, suggesting the performance deserved more than the final scoreline indicated.
Bromley deserve credit for taking four points from their first two League One fixtures following promotion, including an impressive 1-0 victory at Barnsley, but Andy Woodman's side were put under considerable pressure in that game.
Barnsley recorded 67% possession, 22 shots, eight efforts on target and 12 corners, forcing goalkeeper Shamal George into a string of saves before Bromley secured the points.
Wednesday should be capable of applying similar pressure at Hillsborough. If the Owls reproduce the attacking numbers from their defeat to Bradford and show greater efficiency in front of goal, their superior individual quality should be enough to secure a second League One victory of the season.

Colchester have made an encouraging start to their League Two campaign, collecting four points from their opening two matches.
Danny Cowley's side twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Accrington before recording a 2-1 home victory over Oldham, meaning the U's have already scored four league goals and remain unbeaten heading into Saturday.
Rochdale, meanwhile, have found their return to the EFL difficult. Jimmy McNulty's side opened the League Two season with a 3-0 defeat at Newport before losing 2-1 at home to Crawley, leaving them pointless and with five goals conceded across two league matches.
That followed a 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Bradford, meaning Dale have lost all three competitive matches this season, conceding seven goals while scoring just once.
Rochdale were outstanding during last season's National League promotion campaign, but the early evidence suggests the step back up to League Two has required some adjustment. Colchester have made the steadier start and carry a solid home record over from last season, making them our final selection for Saturday's accumulator.
