Three picks, three hitmen. Can they all deliver to land this 5/1 shot?
Gibraltar v Rep of Ireland - 17:00
The Republic of Ireland will be disappointed if they don’t stick quite a few past Gibraltar on Saturday, and striker David McGoldrick is my pick to bag at least once.
The Sheffield United man – who has 12 goals this season – links up with old boss Mick McCarthy, and he’ll feel this fixture is a great opportunity to score his first international goal.
Bosnia-Herzegovina v Armenia - 19:45
Bosnia will make short work of Armenia on Saturday, and I’m backing Edin Dzeko – who will be winning his 100th cap – to score at any time.
Dzeko has 55 goals for his country, and is one of only two players in the current squad (the other being Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic) to have a goal tally in double figures.
This is a confident pick.
Italy v Finland - 19:45
My final pick is a lovely one: Fabio Quagliarella to score at any time.
The 36-year-old is set to win his first Italian cap since 2010, but considering he’s Serie A’s top goalscorer, netting 21 times for Sampdoria – yes, that’s more than both Cristiano Ronaldo and Krzysztof Piatek – few will begrudge him of a recall.
The man is on fire, and I believe he’ll deliver the goods.
