Our final instalment for the March international break is a 6/1 double!
Armenia v Finland - 17:00
Finland were beaten 2-0 by Italy in their opening qualifying match, but I’m backing them to bounce back against Armenia, who themselves lost 2-1 against Bosnia.
The hosts topped their Nations League group containing Hungary, Greece and Estonia (keeping clean sheets in four of their six matches), while Armenia finished second in their League D group behind Macedonia, but a home defeat to Gibraltar shows the calibre of team we’re talking about here.
Armenia’s result against Bosnia was hugely flattering, and I’m expecting this tough Finnish side to edge past them on Tuesday.
Switzerland v Denmark - 19:45
This has a draw written all over it.
Discounting a bizarre Futsal team-infused defeat, Denmark are unbeaten in their six matches since the World Cup – a run featuring four clean sheets – and are one of those sides who are irritatingly difficult to beat.
The Swiss - who spectacularly qualified for the Nations League semi-finals with that 5-2 victory against Belgium back in November – beat Georgia 2-0 last week, but recent defeats against England, Qatar and Belgium do present a plenty of vulnerabilities.
Home advantage lies with Switzerland, but Denmark’s consistency and ruggedness makes the draw at 23/10 a very tempting prospect.
