Rotherham v Nottingham Forest

Both teams have scored in eight of Rotherham’s last nine matches, and I’m backing their clash with Nottingham Forest to fall to the same fate.

Though just 47% of Forest’s away games have seen both teams score – a figure dwarfed by Rotherham’s 74% BTTS rate at The New York Stadium – they’ve kept a clean sheet in just one of their last eight on the road, which is promising considering Rotherham haven’t kept a home clean sheet in 13 matches.

Peterborough United v Gillingham

Peterborough and Gillingham both have a 60% BTTS rate home and away respectively, and their meeting will hopefully produce the goods on Saturday.

The Gills have scored 14 goals in their last seven away games, and they’ll fancy netting against a Posh side who have lost six of their last nine.

Both sides are in the upper echelons of the League 1 BTTS table, making this one a nice-looking option.

Carlisle v Bury

My final BTTS pick is Carlisle v Bury.

55% of Carlisle’s home games have seen both teams score – putting them well above the League Two average – while 60% of Bury’s away games have had goals at both ends.

Encouragingly, seven of Carlisle’s last eight matches at Brunton Park have ended with both teams on the scoresheet, so while their overall BTTS rate isn’t the highest, recent form suggests it’s a big likelihood.

Bury’s promotion push is beginning to stutter, but they’ve still only failed to score in two of their last 12 away games, making this a cracking BTTS option.
