Wednesday's BTTS treble shoots at a cool 3/1!
Silkeborg v Thisted - Danish 1. Division - 17:30
Like on Tuesday, barring a Champions League semi-final match, there’s very little football of note on Wednesday, so I’ve had to do some serious trawling to bring you this 3/1 BTTS treble!
We have a couple of matches in the Danish second-tier to start off with: first up, we have Silkeborg v Thisted, where I expect both teams to score.
71% of Silkeborg’s home matches have seen both teams score, and their meeting with Thisted (with a 64% BTTS-rate on the road) is sure to bring goals.
HB Koge v FC Helsingor - Danish 1. Division - 17:30
Eight of HB Koge’s 14 home games have seen both teams score—which is a relatively healthy return—and their clash with bottom side Helsingor will surely add to that.
64% of the visitors’ away games have seen goals at both ends, so this fixture looks a goer.
Ajax v Tottenham - Champions League - 20:00
Five of Ajax’s last six Champions League matches have seen both teams score—the one outlier being the first-leg victory against Spurs—and Wednesday’s clash with the North Londoners looks like a great BTTS shout.
Spurs are obviously desperate for a goal to keep their European dreams alive, making this a game they have to go all out for, although Mauricio Pochettino’s men have kept just one clean sheet from their five away games in Europe this season.
Son Heung-Min’s return is a big boost for the visitors, but it’s hard to see them shutting Ajax out for 90 minutes.
