Charlton v Nottingham Forest

Let’s get stuck into some BTTS action.

Charlton v Nottingham Forest is my first pick. The Addicks have surprised many people this season with their excellent start to proceedings, but with both teams scoring in all three of their league matches so far, this is certainly a fixture with great promise.

The fact that Forest managed to find the net against Leeds at Elland Road shows they’ve certainly got plenty of goalscoring capability, but I’m not convinced they’ll keep out a Charlton side who have scored seven times in their three league matches.

Preston v Stoke

Though only one of Preston’s three league matches have seen both teams score this season, I’m backing their clash with Stoke at Deepdale to be clean sheet-free.

Alex Neil’s men are one of the streakier outfits in the division, who last season boasted a massive 65% BTTS-rate at home, and while they have goals in them, Declan Rudd is certainly not one of the more protected goalkeepers in the division.

As for Stoke, their three matches have all seen both teams score this season, and while Nathan Jones’ men are more adventurous than last time around, they look a bit of a shambles at the back – conceding seven goals already.

QPR v Swansea

I have a feeling Swansea will be good fun this season under Steve Cooper, and their trip to Loftus Road should hopefully yield a few goals.

Despite a 0-0 draw with Derby a couple of weeks ago, Swansea have scored five league goals this season, and look to continue Graham Potter’s philosophy of exciting, attacking football.

That’ll naturally lead to goals flying in at both ends, and with QPR seeing both teams score in three of their last four—including the 3-3 home draw with Bristol City in the Carabao Cup—there should be a good chance of a positive outcome.
