Southend v Accrington - League One

My first BTTS pick is Southend v Accrington.

Despite a woeful start to the season, Southend have still scored 11 goals this season—as many as 7th place Doncaster—however the problems come at the other end, where they’ve conceded 24.

This is always good in the BTTS market, and with Accrington of a similar ilk in terms of quality, while also possessing a 78% BTTS-rate this season, I can see goals aplenty.

The Shrimpers have conceded at least twice in every home game, while Stanley have shipped goals in all five of their away games.

BTTS - 1pt @ 4/6

Leyton Orient v Port Vale - League Two

The first League Two selection is Leyton Orient v Port Vale.

Again, these two look relatively evenly-matched, with Orient and Vale possessing 70% and 60% BTTS-rates respectively this season – amongst the highest in the division.

Orient’s last seven have seen both teams score, and while Vale have fired blanks against Newport and Exeter on the road—two of the best sides in the division—they’ve scored and conceded on their travels to Colchester, Salford and Grimsby, so this pick looks a goer.

BTTS - 1pt @ 4/5

Carlisle v Oldham - League Two

Finally, I’m backing both teams to score in Carlisle v Oldham.

Again, these two are very close in the table (separated by a single place and a single point), while conceding a collective 33 goals in their 20 combined matches.

These two both have 60% BTTS-rates; once again, amongst the highest in the league.

The Cumbrians have only failed to score once away this season (while also keeping just one clean sheet), and this fixture also promises to be open, with 16 goals flying in during Oldham’s last four matches.
