We welcome the international action back with a 7/1 treble!
Slovakia v Wales - 19:45
I’ve been really unimpressed with Wales so far this qualifying campaign.
Though Ryan Giggs’ men are just three points off the top two with a game in hand, they’ve only mustered four goals in four matches – losing to Hungary and Croatia before scraping past Azerbaijan in their latest outing.
Slovakia lost 1-0 to Wales back in March, but they’ve also done the double over Hungary, and with five more goals as Wales this campaign, I think they’re a great price to deal a huge blow to Giggs on Thursday.
Russia v Scotland - 19:45
With a Nations League play-off already confirmed, it’s not surprising Scotland have been poor in regular qualifying.
Steve Clarke’s men have only managed to beat Cyprus and San Marino in their six matches (scoring five and conceding 13), while Russia are comfortably in second place - beating Scotland 2-1 at Hampden along the way.
The leaky Scots have conceded at least twice in their last three European qualifiers, while Russia have won five games on-the-spin – a home victory is surely on the cards.
North Macedonia v Slovenia - 19:45
Finally, there’s value in backing Slovenia to beat North Macedonia on the road.
Slovenia have won their last three qualifying matches—including a really impressive 2-0 win against Poland—while North Macedonia have lost two of their three at home.
This fixture ended 1-1 in Slovenia, but the visitors have hit form at a really good time, and with the second-strongest defence in the group, one of the world’s best goalkeepers in Jan Oblak between the sticks and a second-place berth currently in their grasp, they’ll know this is a must-win to pip Poland or Austria to the finals.
