Finish the international break on a high with this 7/1 treble!
Finland v Armenia - 17:00
Despite an incredibly uncharacteristic 4-1 defeat in Bosnia, I expect Finland to beat qualification rivals Armenia to retain their second-place status in Group J.
The usually-solid Fins have beaten Bosnia and Greece on home soil without conceding, and narrowly lost 2-1 to a very good Italian side – all after topping their Nations League group, meaning they’ll be on par with the likes of Germany, Croatia and Poland in the next iteration.
Armenia have generally impressed during this campaign, but drawing against a woeful Liechtenstein side in their last away game suggests Finland should dispose of them on home soil.
Finland beat Armenia 2-0 in this fixture all the way back in March, and a similar result could be on the cards once again.
Greece v Bosnia & Herzegovina - 19:45
Greece have been nothing short of woeful in Group J.
With five points from their seven matches, they’ve not shown up at all – and their last home game (a 1-1 draw with Liechtenstein) would suggest Bosnia and Herzegovina, coming into this on the back of that aforementioned 4-1 win over Finland, will fancy their chances.
The visitors have lost all three of their own away games, however this Greek team is pitifully bad, and it’s in front of goal where the two sides greatly differ: Greece have only mustered seven goals in qualifying, while Bosnia and Herzegovina have netted 16 times, and that’s where this game will be won.
Israel v Latvia - 19:45
My final tip is for Israel to beat Latvia at home with a -2 handicap.
Conceding 24 goals and scoring just once, pointless Latvia are Group G’s whipping boys. They’ve lost all seven of their matches by a margin of at least two goals, but there’s value in backing Israel to beat them by three goals.
The hosts overcame Latvia 3-0 in June, and at home they’ve looked solid: earning five points against Slovenia, North Macedonia and Austria – beating the latter 4-2.
Israel are probably the second-weakest side in the group, but 13/10 is a price worth backing for them to still stick a few past hapless Latvia.
