Middlesbrough v West Brom - Championship

No side in the Championship have seen more matches end with both teams scoring than West Brom, and their trip to Middlesbrough should be fruitful in this regard.

Slaven Bilic’s men have failed to score just once on the road (against Leeds), but they’ve also kept only a single clean sheet – against 10-man QPR.

As for Boro, they’ve found the net against everyone they’ve faced at the Riverside since the opening day, but have only registered home shut-outs against very poor Reading and Wigan outfits.

Stoke v Fulham - Championship

Despite Stoke being woeful this season, they’ve still had relative joy in front of goal (offset by their awful defence, which has conceded 22 goals), resulting in a very healthy 73% BTTS-rate: the joint-second highest in the league.

The Potters will be buoyed by their first win of the season at Swansea, and the fact they’ve found the net at home against QPR, Derby, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest is encouraging.

Fulham, have seen both teams score in 80% of their away encounters – the one anomaly being that bizarre 1-0 defeat at Oakwell on the opening day.

This one is a nice price.

AFC Wimbledon v Portsmouth - League One

A whopping 92% of AFC Wimbledon’s League One games have ended with both teams scoring, and their clash with stuttering Portsmouth should prove no different.

Pompey have a healthy 60% BTTS-rate on the road, and since the opening day have only failed to score once on the road – that being a red-card riddled encounter with Wycombe.

As you can imagine, action is in no short supply when the Wombles are concerned, and their record of BTTS games this season should speak for itself.

Wycombe v Sunderland - League One

Always a good BTTS bet, Sunderland have seen nine of their 11 league games finish with goals at either end.

The Black Cats haven’t kept a clean sheet all season, but Wycombe (with a 71% BTTS-rate at Adams Park) have the joint-best goalscoring record on home soil in the league, and the third-worst defence.

This should be intriguing, and it’s hard to imagine either side keeping a clean sheet.

BTTS - 1pt @ 4/6

Bradford v Crawley - League Two

My final BTTS pick is in League Two at Valley Parade, where Bradford welcome Crawley.

Crawley are the most fruitful side in League Two when BTTS is concerned, and they’re the only outfit who have scored and conceded in every single away game.

Indeed, only four sides have a higher BTTS-rate than the Bantams’ 62%, and after a pretty measly start to the season in terms of both teams scoring, they’ve now seen seven of their last eight in the league finish without a shut-out at either end.
