Sunday's bumper offering shoots at 20/1!
Accrington v Ipswich - League One - 12:00
Plenty of variety to get stuck into on Sunday, but I’ll start in England, with Ipswich at a very generous 23/20 to beat Accrington away.
The Tractor Boys have been imperious in League One this season, and deservedly sit top of the pile after an unbeaten start. Furthermore, their defence has been absolutely superb, and they’ve now won their last four away games without conceding.
Stanley have been grinding out a few useful results of late, but they’ve still just won once on home soil, and with only three sides possessing a leakier defence, it’s hard to see them keeping rampant Town out while finding the net at the right end.
Sampdoria v Roma - Serie A - 14:00
Sampdoria sit rock bottom of Serie A, having lost six of their seven matches (conceding 16 and scoring just four), and I expect them to succumb to Roma this weekend.
Considering Roma have seven points from their three away games, 6/5 looks very generous for I Giallorossi to claim the points.
Hard to see any other outcome in this one.
Man Utd v Liverpool - Premier League - 16:30
Liverpool have won their last 17 Premier League matches, and yet they’re still as long as 8/11 to beat an absolutely dreadful, injury-ridden Manchester United side.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have already overcome bigger challenges than this (most notably the win at Stamford Bridge), and there’s simply no feasible scenario where the hosts get anything from this game.
Paul Pogba is a big miss; David de Gea is a huge miss, and while a number of half-fit players may return, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t have the tactical nous to stun this imperious Liverpool side.
8/11 is simply too long for an away win, particularly with the Reds showing championship form and United...well, relegation form,
Hoffenheim v Schalke - Bundesliga - 17:00
My final pick is another nicely-priced one: Schalke to beat Hoffenheim on the road.
The hosts are certainly feeling the Julian Nagelsmann hangover, and currently sit 12th in the table. Even more encouragingly, they’ve lost their last couple of home games 3-0 against Freiburg and Borussia Monchengladbach.
There are no such problems for Schalke, who have won four and drawn one of their last five – scoring 14 goals in the process. Furthermore, their last two away games have ended in 5-1 and 3-1 victories against Paderborn and RB Leipzig respectively; the latter victory particularly impressive.
With this in mind, 17/10 for an away win should be snapped up.
