Atletico Madrid v Bayer Leverkusen - 17:55

I feature both early kick-offs in this Tuesday acca, starting off with Atletico Madrid to beat Bayer Leverkusen at home.

It has to be said that Atleti haven’t been hugely impressive on home soil this season: drawing their last four at the Wanda Metropolitano – though one was in the Champions League against Juventus.

However, Leverkusen have started their European campaign off really poorly, losing 3-0 at Juve after being stunned at home by Lokomotiv Moscow.

In the Bundesliga, the visitors have lost two of their last three away games by scorelines of 4-0 and 3-0.

Atleti should find a way to claim the points in this one.

Atletico - 1pt @ 4/6

Shakhtar Donetsk v Dinamo Zagreb - 17:55

I’m confident Shakhtar Donetsk beat Dinamo Zagreb at home.

The Ukrainian side are generally very impressive at ‘home’ (their temporary residence in Kharkiv), and while they lost 3-0 against Manchester City, they come into this fixture with a 100% record domestically.

Dinamo Zagreb will be competitive, there’s no doubt about that, but they’ve won just two of their last six away games in all competitions, and I can’t see how they find success against such an experienced Shakhtar side.

Shakhtar - 1pt @ 8/11

Tottenham v Red Star Belgrade - 20:00

Last but not least, I’m backing Red Star Belgrade with a +2 handicap.

Spurs are woefully out of form, and while they may well beat Red Star on Tuesday, I don’t think it’ll be by a margin of more than a single goal.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won just three matches all season, and one in their last seven – most notably that 7-2 humiliation against Bayern.

Of course, Red Star aren’t quite up to Bayern’s standards, but they come into this off the back of a really impressive win against Olympiakos, and we mustn’t forget they beat Liverpool and drew with Napoli last season.

This will be a slog, and even if Spurs do find a way, I’m confident it’ll only be by a single goal.
