Saturday's Euro 2020 treble is currently priced at 10/1!
Cyprus v Scotland - 14:00
Cyprus look a solid price to beat Scotland at home, and that’s exactly what I’m opening this acca with.
With qualification via this group out of the question and a Nations League play-off to fall back on, this is certainly not a match the Scots will be taking with the utmost seriousness. Scotland’s only away points in Group I have come via a 2-0 victory against San Marino, and while they did beat Cyprus 2-1 at home, I believe the hosts look set to gain revenge.
Cyrus have scored more and conceded fewer than Scotland during the campaign, and just one defeat from their last four matches in the group shows they do have a bit about them.
Andy Robertson, Ryan Fraser and Scott McTominay have all pulled out of the squad for this one, and with little to play for, 28/13 looks tempting for a home win.
Israel v Poland - 19:45
Another nice price I’ve identified is for Poland to beat Israel away from home.
Israel are unbeaten at home, but have conceded on every single occasion, and I believe this’ll be exploited by the terrifyingly prolific Robert Lewandowski – who has scored in every single Bundesliga match he’s played in this season.
A victory secures Poland’s place at Euro 2020, and three wins (all with clean sheets) out of four away games is a pretty solid record, and 31/20 is enough to tempt me to back them to end Israel’s unbeaten home run.
N Ireland v Netherlands - 19:45
And finally, as much as it pains me to say it, I expect the Netherlands to beat Northern Ireland – which will likely end their hopes of Euro 2020 qualification.
The Dutch are a mightily impressive side, and despite Northern Ireland’s solid record at Windsor Park, the visitors’ superior quality should eventually tell – just like what we saw in Amsterdam.
Northern Ireland gave Germany a really good game at home in September, but like the Dutch, they found a way to eventually break the hosts down.
Netherlands are certainly one of my picks for eventual Euro 2020 winners, and they are ever-improving under Ronald Koeman.
I have no doubt this’ll be an incredibly tight affair, but ultimately my money is on the visitors.
