Will Liverpool ever lose again?
As the weeks tick along, with Manchester City and Leicester disappearing in the rear view mirror, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp can dream just a little more about becoming Invincibles.
To some of the more circumspect Reds fans, this may sound like chicken-counting of the highest order, but let’s be honest, the title is signed, sealed and soon to be delivered.
While the relegation battle and the fight for the top four look really exciting this year, the most important order of business at the Premier League’s summit, in my eyes anyway, is whether Liverpool can end the season unbeaten.
But oh how Jose Mourinho would love to present Liverpool with their first defeat of the season on Saturday.
However, while Jose’s post-match antics would be something to behold if he becomes the first man to beat Liverpool in the league this season, it’s simply not going to happen.
Not only have Liverpool won their last away game against Spurs, but The North Londoners have won just three of their last nine matches in all competitions, and the way they performed at home against an inconsistent Chelsea doesn’t bode particularly well for them.
Liverpool are a juggernaut, and while 8/11 might seem a bit skinny for an away game against a fellow top-six-from-last-season side, if you view this purely from a performance perspective in recent months, it’s well worth throwing your full weight behind Klopp’s boys once again.
One man who loves a goal against Spurs is Mo Salah.
The Egyptian has scored five goals in his six appearances against them in a Liverpool shirt, and considering Paulo Gazzaniga has one only clean sheet in his last 13 matches, you’d expect this deadly Reds side to have joy in front of goal – spearheaded by Salah’s excellence.
Salah to score at any time is my second and final tip.
