West Ham v Liverpool - Premier League - 19:45

My first of two handicap picks this Wednesday comes at the London Stadium, where I expect Liverpool (-1) to beat West Ham.

Liverpool’s gruelling, and ultimately hugely rewarding, victory at Molineux last week sends them into this fixture against the Hammers with an unspeakable amount of momentum, and I can see them really laying into their opponents.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight in the league, and considering Liverpool have scored four goals in four of their last five games against West Ham, this fixture is a prime candidate in the handicap market.

David Moyes’ side come into this following a 4-1 hammering at Leicester, and I suspect thongs will get worse before they get better.

Liverpool -1 - 1pt @ 19/20

St Johnstone v Celtic - Scottish Premiership - 19:45

My next tip is for Celtic to beat St. Johnstone away with a -1 handicap.

Four of Celtic’s last five away wins have been by at least two goals, and although St. Johnstone are unbeaten in four at home, I expect the champions to make short work of them.

Celtic have won by a margin of at least two goals in their last five games against St. Johnstone—scoring 22 and conceding none—which points towards this tip landing with aplomb.

Celtic -1 - 1pt @ 4/5

Tranmere v Sunderland - League One - 19:45

Last but by no means least, I’m backing Sunderland to beat Tranmere on the road.

After a stodgy first half of the season, Sunderland have finally hit some form under Phil Parkinson, and suddenly look like an outfit ready for promotion.

The Black Cats are unbeaten in eight matches—with three victories from their last four matches, conceding once—while Tranmere have two points from their last five in the league.

The hosts also have two fewer days of rest due to their 6-0 thumping at the hands of Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Tranmere have lost two consecutive games at home, while Sunderland have won two and drawn one of their last three away, which is why I fancy them.
