Back Saturday's tasty EFL four-fold at 6/1!
MK Dons v Bolton - League One
Russell Martin has seriously turned MK Dons’ fortunes around, and I have his side beating Bolton on Saturday.
The hosts have won five of their last six away games, most recently against automatic promotion-chasing Wycombe, while Bolton have lost seven of their last nine.
The Trotters have also lost 11 of their 13 away games, which is why I’m so confident about MK Dons.
Sunderland v Bristol Rovers - League One
Sunderland are another side who are flying, and I’m very confident they beat Bristol Rovers.
Phil Parkinson’s side have lost just once since mid-December, and are on a run of seven victories from nine – keeping a clean sheet on seven of these occasions, which is pretty ominous.
While Ben Garner finally got his first win as Rovers manager last weekend against ten man Blackpool, the Gas have struggled on the road of late, earning just two points from their last five away games (against Bolton and Tranmere).
This is certainly Sunderland’s to lose.
Crewe v Macclesfield - League Two
Crewe’s strong home record will see them beat Macclesfield.
The Alex have won their last six at Gresty Road, and this fixture will be seen as a must-win due to the hugely competitive nature of League Two’s automatic promotion battle.
Macclesfield, while very tough to beat at home, have just four points from their last 10 away games, and this excellent Crewe outfit will have no problems beating them.
Cheltenham v Mansfield - League Two
I’ll end with the value selection: Cheltenham to beat Mansfield at evens.
Mansfield have endured a horrendous season, and their recent away form has been seriously weak: four defeats from six, earning points only against Morecambe and ten man Cambridge.
On the other hand, Cheltenham have won four straight home games, and possess the best defence in League Two – conceding just 26 goals in their 32 games. Meanwhile, Mansfield have the second-worst defence.
I’m surprised Cheltenham aren’t a shorter price.
