Check out football expert Ryan Elliott's Saturday's German football double, priced at 4/1!
Bielefeld v FC Nurnberg - 2. Bundesliga - 12:00
Starting off Saturday’s double, I have 2. Bundesliga leaders Arminia Bielefeld beating Nurnberg to continue their march towards the top-tier.
Bielefeld are unbeaten since the league’s return, and their last two results—a draw with promotion rivals Hamburg before a brilliant win over a strong Holstein Kiel side—puts them in a good place to beat Nurnberg.
The visitors, on the other hand, have just three points from their last four games, and considering they’re just two points above the relegation play-off, it’s unlikely they’ll pull off a shock and take points off the league leaders.
Regensburg v Darmstadt - 2. Bundesliga - 12:00
Finally, I believe Darmstadt are a very good price to beat Jahn Regensburg away from home.
Regensburg have drawn all four of their games since the league has returned (three being 2-2 draws), but Darmstadt, who are still in with a chance of promotion, have the fourth-best away record in the league, which is encouraging considering the behind-closed-doors aspect of proceedings.
Furthermore, seven points from their last three—scoring eight and conceding two—is good momentum with which to go into this game with, and I fancy the visitors to hand Regensburg their first defeat since the league’s resumption.
