Football expert Ryan Elliott has picked out a 5/2 double for Friday's European fixtures.
Kicking-off Friday’s 5/2 double, I have Sporting beating Belenenses away from home.
Since the restart, Sporting have earned seven points from their three games—drawing only against a decent Guimaraes outfit—while Belenenses have four points, losing last time out against a pretty ordinary Pacos de Ferreira side.
The hosts’ home advantage will be greatly diminished on Friday, and considering Sporting have won their last five league games against them (scoring 17 times), they’ll be incredibly confident about winning again.
Next, I have Juventus beating Lecce with a -2 handicap.
Juve have kept three consecutive clean sheets in their various encounters post-restart, and while Maurizio Sarri’s men are hardly the most free-scoring side in the world, I still believe they’ll stick a few past Lecce.
The visitors have the worst defence in the league—conceding 60 in their 27 games—and a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Milan in their last outing isn’t a good sign.
The home side to win comfortably makes up the double.
