Norwich v West Ham - Premier League - 12:30

I’ve gone for a 5/1 double this Saturday, with my first selection being West Ham to beat Norwich at Carrow Road, in which the visitors are a very good price.

The Hammers will be bitterly disappointed with their home defeat to Burnley in their most recent outing, but the promise they showed, particularly in front of goal, which they showed against Chelsea and Newcastle in the two games prior encourages me for Saturday.

Norwich have lost every game since the restart, and back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Watford will have seen their already fragile confidence hit rock bottom.

West Ham are far from world-beaters, but they should be shorter than 21/20 to win on Saturday, condemning the Canaries to relegation.

West Ham - 1pt @ 21/20

Barnsley v Wigan - Championship - 15:00

My second selection is Wigan to beat Barnsley.

Of course, despite Wigan currently sitting comfortably in mid-table, their potential points deduction essentially puts them deep into a relegation battle, along with Barnsley.

However, on the pitch they’ve been magnificent. Paul Cook’s men have won four of five post-lockdown matches, keeping a clean sheet on every occasion and only losing to an exceptional Brentford side.

They’ve now lost just two of their last 14, and the momentum and team spirit that they’ve shown in recent weeks should serve them well here.

Barnsley have done pretty well themselves, earning eight points from their last five, but just one point from their last two games against lowly Stoke and Luton will give the Latics much encouragement.

Wigan are one of the form sides in the division, and on that basis alone, they’re well worth backing at 9/5.
