In what’s quite a sparse Thursday of football, I’m backing Juventus to beat Udinese at a pretty fair price to kick the double off.
Juve haven’t been brilliant recently, but they’ve had a fairly tough run of fixtures, and still come into this on the back of a good win over Lazio.
Udinese are hardly in sparkling form themselves, and just two wins from their last 15 league games won’t frighten Maurizio Sarri in the slightest.
The price boosts this double sufficiently for it to merit inclusion.
Lazio v Cagliari - Serie A - 20:45
I’ve gone for a big-price selection next, where I’ve backed Lazio and Cagliari to draw.
Both sides come into this in dreadful form: Lazio have just one point from their last five league games—a run including a defeat to a very poor Lecce outfit—while Cagliari have won just twice since December 2nd.
The visitors have drawn four of their last six games, and only lost narrowly to prolific Atalanta after going down to 10 men midway through the first half.
Despite their poor recent form, Cagliari will fancy taking at least a point off a Lazio side who are finishing their previously outstanding season with a whimper.
At 7/2, this looks a really good price to see this double price at 6/1.
