Ipswich v Wigan - 12:00

I’m a little surprised that Ipswich beating Wigan with a -1 handicap is as short as 8/5.

While Ipswich were wholly unimpressive last season, Wigan’s off-field issues has left them with only a handful of senior defenders, with many of their best players being sold.

Not only will the upheaval behind the scenes take some time to recover from, but they also travel to face an Ipswich side who should have the quality to secure a convincing win.

I’m no huge fan of Paul Lambert and his team, but the price on offer for the handicap looks awfully generous.

Ipswich -1 - 1pt @ 8/5

Stromsgodset v Rosenborg - 17:00

My second pick comes in Norway, where I believe Rosenborg are a nice price against Stromsgodset.

The hosts have lost three of their last five games, as well as three of their last four at home, conceding 11 goals in the process.

Rosenborg, on the other hand, are one of the form teams in the division, with four wins and one draw from their last five in all competitions.

A shade under evens for Rosenborg to claim the points looks worth the punt.
