Leg 1: Swansea to Beat Portsmouth @ 13/8
Swansea City are our first selection, with the Welsh side backed to build on their impressive 4-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers when they travel to Portsmouth. The Swans produced one of their best performances of the season on Saturday, responding emphatically to their disappointing 5-0 defeat against QPR. They have now scored four goals in a match, having previously struggled to find the net in consecutive defeats against QPR and West Ham.
That Blackburn result should provide a significant confidence boost. Swansea had also won away at Millwall and beaten Norwich before their difficult spell, demonstrating that they can be effective on their travels.
Portsmouth are not an easy opponent at Fratton Park, but their recent results suggest there could be an opportunity for the visitors. John Mousinho's side drew 0-0 away at Burnley in their latest fixture, having previously beaten Millwall 2-1 at home. They have also drawn against Wolves and won away at Norwich, so their recent form has been reasonably competitive.
However, Portsmouth have not been particularly prolific across that run, scoring just five goals in their last five league matches. Swansea's four-goal performance against Blackburn offers encouragement that they can exploit any defensive weaknesses.
Leg 2: QPR to Beat Burnley @ 1/1
Queens Park Rangers are our second selection, with the hosts backed to secure another important victory at Loftus Road against Burnley. QPR have demonstrated considerable attacking potential at home in recent weeks. They produced a dominant 5-0 victory over Swansea on 24 October before following that up with a 4-1 win against Derby earlier in the month.
Those results highlight the threat they can pose when playing in front of their own supporters. Their 1-4 defeat away to Southampton on Saturday was a setback, but their home performances provide a strong reason to expect a response.
Burnley, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency. They were held to a goalless draw by Portsmouth in their latest match and had previously suffered a 4-1 defeat away at Lincoln City. Scott Parker's side also lost 2-1 at home to Wolves, although they did record an impressive 4-0 away win against Watford earlier in October.
The visitors have therefore shown that they can be dangerous on their travels, but their defensive performances have been inconsistent. Conceding four goals against Lincoln and another two against Wolves will concern Parker ahead of a visit to a QPR side that scored nine goals across its previous two home matches.
The head-to-head record is more favourable to Burnley, who have won five of the previous 12 meetings compared with two QPR victories. However, the current home and away form offers a reason to go against that historical trend.
With QPR capable of producing high-scoring performances at Loftus Road and Burnley showing defensive vulnerabilities, the hosts are worth backing at evens.
Leg 3: Derby vs Norwich - Both Teams to Score: Yes @ 8/13
Our third selection focuses on goals at Pride Park, where Derby County host Norwich City in a fixture that could provide opportunities at both ends.
Derby have struggled to put together a consistent run of results, but they have continued to find the net despite their poor defensive performances. They scored against Millwall in their 1-4 defeat on Saturday and also found the net in draws against Sheffield United and Wrexham.
Their recent results underline the problem. Derby have conceded four goals against both Millwall and QPR, while also allowing opponents to score in their draws against Sheffield United and Wrexham. They have managed just one clean sheet in their last five league matches.
Norwich have shown similar tendencies. The Canaries scored three times against Watford on Saturday and also found the net in their 3-1 victory away at Charlton. However, they have also conceded in four of their last five league fixtures, including defeats against Portsmouth and Swansea.
Both sides have therefore shown that they can create attacking opportunities, but neither has been particularly reliable defensively.
Norwich's away fixtures have also been entertaining, with three or more goals scored in each of their last five away matches. That trend provides further encouragement for the BTTS selection.
Derby will be keen to respond after their heavy defeat at Millwall, while Norwich have enough attacking quality to trouble the hosts. With both defences struggling to keep opponents quiet, backing both teams to score at 8/13 looks a sensible option.
Leg 4: Huddersfield vs Luton, Both Teams to Score: Yes @ 8/15
Huddersfield Town and Luton Town meet in League One, and we are expecting both sides to find the net at the Accu Stadium.
Huddersfield have been in excellent form, winning four consecutive league matches before this fixture. Their recent results include a 3-0 victory away at Bradford City, a 2-1 win over Wigan and a convincing 4-1 triumph against Peterborough.
The Terriers have been particularly productive in front of goal, scoring at least twice in each of those three victories. Their attacking consistency makes them difficult to contain, especially on home soil.
Luton also arrive in strong form. The Hatters have won four of their last five league matches, including a 2-0 victory away at Peterborough on Saturday. They have also beaten Doncaster, Leicester and Barnsley during that run, demonstrating their ability to score against a variety of opponents.
The statistics behind this fixture are especially encouraging for the goals market. Across Huddersfield's six home league matches and Luton's five away fixtures, both teams have scored in 10 of the 11 games. Over 2.5 goals has also landed in 10 of those 11 matches.
Huddersfield have scored in all six of their home league fixtures, while Luton have found the net in each of their five away matches. Neither side has been particularly reliable defensively in those respective splits, with Luton yet to keep an away clean sheet.
Leg 5: Watford vs Lincoln - Both Teams to Score: Yes @ 8/11
We complete the accumulator by backing both Watford and Lincoln City to find the net at Vicarage Road. Watford have endured a difficult run of results, losing four of their last five league matches. Their latest setback came in a 3-2 defeat away at Norwich, following losses against Wolves, Cardiff and Burnley.
The Hornets have struggled defensively, conceding 13 goals across their last five matches. They have also managed just five goals during that period, highlighting their inconsistency at both ends of the pitch.
Lincoln have also experienced defensive problems. They suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Birmingham in their most recent fixture, having previously conceded four goals against Burnley. Their recent results also include a 2-2 draw away at Millwall and a 6-0 defeat against West Ham.
Despite those defensive weaknesses, Lincoln have demonstrated that they can score goals. They put four past Burnley and twice found the net against Millwall, showing that they can cause problems for opponents even when their own defence is struggling. Watford's recent matches have also provided attacking opportunities. They scored twice against Norwich and Charlton, although they failed to find the net against Wolves and Burnley.
The key factor here is the defensive record of both teams. Watford have conceded regularly, while Lincoln have struggled to keep clean sheets against stronger Championship opposition. Both sides need a positive result, which should encourage an attacking approach. There is some risk attached to this selection given Watford's recent scoring inconsistency, but Lincoln's defensive record offers the hosts an opportunity to get on the scoresheet.
