We’re into the penultimate weekend of the EFL season and, with plenty still on the line, Matthew O’Regan has put together a 10/1 acca to get involved in.
QPR vs Derby
Leg 1: Over 2.5 Goals
QPR have looked firmly on the beach for weeks as they head towards a 12th straight Championship season and a fourth consecutive bottom-half finish. Julien Stephens’ side have been inconsistent at Loftus Road, winning ten and losing nine of their 22 home games, but will look to finish the campaign on a high. Notably, a league-high 17 of those 22 (77%) have produced at least three goals.
Derby have been one of the season’s surprise packages but appear to be falling just short of the play-offs. Sitting four points off the top six with two games remaining, the Rams are firmly in must-win territory, particularly after losing their last three away matches. All three defeats went over 2.5 goals, and 14 of their 22 road games this season (64%) have also cleared that line.
Wigan vs AFC Wimbledon
Leg 2: Wigan to Win
The return of Gary Caldwell has sparked a clear upturn at Wigan, with safety secured and a top-half finish now in sight. The Latics have taken 19 points from their last eight home games, keeping six clean sheets along the way.
AFC Wimbledon’s season has unravelled alarmingly. Once comfortable in mid-table, the Wombles have taken just one point from their last nine matches, failing to score in six of them. Against a resolute Wigan defence, Johnnie Jackson’s side could be dragged deeper into relegation trouble by Saturday evening.

Barnet vs Gillingham
Leg 3: Barnet Over 1 Goal
Chasing back-to-back promotions, Barnet have been relentless of late. They’re unbeaten in seven, winning their last three, and have scored two or more goals in five of their last six outings - the exception coming in a narrow 1-0 win over high-flying Cambridge.
Dean Brennan’s side rank fourth in the league for xG and are now just four points off the play-offs with two games to go. With rivals set to take points off each other, Barnet may fancy their chances of sneaking in – and with a weaker goal difference, they’ll be keen to keep the pressure on by running up the score.
Gillingham’s season has fizzled out, leaving them 18th and with little to play for. Gareth Ainsworth’s men have won just once in 11, losing seven and conceding 24 goals in that spell. An early Barnet breakthrough could see heads drop quickly.
Bristol Rovers vs Cheltenham
Leg 4: Bristol Rovers to Win
Both sides were mired in relegation worries earlier in the season, but the appointments of Steve Cotterill and Steve Evans have sparked improved fortunes.
Bristol Rovers have climbed to 15th after taking nine wins from ten – the only blemish coming away at unbeaten (at home), table-topping Bromley. Since then, the Gas have rattled off seven straight victories, including six consecutive wins at the Memorial Stadium.
Cheltenham, now 17th and 15 points clear of danger, haven’t quite hit the same heights. The Robins have struggled on the road, losing half of their away fixtures, and without 16-goal Isaac Hutchinson, may leave their short trip south ends empty-handed.
The best odds available of the above four-fold Acca is 10/1 at Coral and Betfred at the time of publishing.
