This Europa League treble shoots at a cool 5/1!
Salzburg v Napoli - 17:55
Napoli secured a stunning 3-0 victory against Salzburg at the San Paolo last week, leaving the Austrian outfit with it all to do on Thursday.
It’s always tricky to back second-leg matches due to the aggregate score being so much more important than the score on the night, and in this instance I think Salzburg will beat Napoli (but not necessarily go through).
Carlo Ancelotti’s side, while imperious at home, have generally stuttered on the road, winning just one of their last five Serie A matches.
Considering Napoli have such a handsome lead, 29/20 for a Salzburg victory on the night (bearing in mind Napoli would be delighted to lose by one or two goals) is a great price.
Arsenal v Rennes - 20:00
Another side with a big task ahead, Arsenal return to the Emirates after a dismal 3-1 defeat against Rennes in the first-leg.
The Gunners, however, have been sensational at home for most of the season, and I do believe - like they did against BATE Borisov – they’ll turn this tie around.
In the Premier League, Unai Emery’s men have won 13 of their 16 home games, but crucially, 11 of these wins have been by two goals or more.
It’s crucial because I’m backing an Arsenal win with a -1 handicap!
Rennes have lost their last three away games in Ligue 1 (as well as two of their four in the Europa League), which is why this market stands out to me.
Benfica v Dinamo Zagreb
The final side who I’m backing to win on Thursday is another who lost their first leg: Benfica.
The Primeira Liga leaders succumbed to Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 in their away leg, but I’m still confident they’ll beat their Croatian adversaries in this all-important clash in Lisbon.
Benfica average a frankly ridiculous 4.67 goals-per-game in the Portuguese top-tier this season – winning nine of their 12 at Estádio da Luz – which is why I’m expecting them to sneak past Dinamo on the night.
