Braga v Slovan Bratislava -17:55

I’m not messing around here: four selections (three coming in early kick-offs) coming in at a tasty 13/1. This should be a good’un.

Without further ado, let’s go – my first pick is Braga to beat Slovan Bratislava in what should be this acca’s banker.

The hosts beat Wolves at Molineux last time out, and victories over Brondby and Spartak Moscow home and away to reach this stage—two sides with far more European experience than Slovan—should stand them in good stead for another three points on Thursday.

Slovan somewhat surprisingly beat Besiktas to open their own account, but the difference in quality will surely be telling here, which is why I’m confident the Portuguese side will get the job done.

Feyenoord v Porto - 17:55

Porto to beat Feyenoord away from home is my next tip at an inviting price.

Feyenoord have only won three of their eight Eredivisie matches—which isn’t particularly impressive considering the level of opposition—and a defeat at Ibrox a fortnight ago has already put them on the back foot.

There have been no such problems for Porto, who beat a good Young Boys side to open their account, and quite frankly they should be plying their trade in the Champions League with the quality at their disposal, so I like 15/13 to beat a stuttering Feyenoord.

Istanbul Basaksehir FK v Borussia Monchengladbach - 17:55

Borussia Monchengladbach beating Istanbul Basaksehir on the road is another very invitingly-priced tip.

The Germans have won all three of their Bundesliga away matches so far this campaign, scoring seven goals, while Basaksehir have only mustered a single win on home soil.

Oddly, both sides lost their opening games 4-0; Basaksehir against Roma, Monchengladbach at home against Wolfsberger. However, Marco Rose’s men have a much higher ceiling in terms of bouncebackability, and their away form this season is why 13/10 really tempts me.

Lugano v Dynamo Kiev - 20:00

Lugano have been woeful this season: earning just two points from their last seven domestic matches while also tasting defeat against FC Copenhagen in their European opener.

I simply cannot see how they get anything from their match against a Dynamo Kiev side with four wins and one draw from their five away games in Ukraine.

The visitors also beat Malmo in gameweek one, making 23/20 for an away win a very backable price.
