CHECKANDCHALLENGE (22/1) has had a couple of outings so far this season and should come into this much fitter for the benefit of those runs and he may have had this race as his main target of the flat calendar. He had been seen competing at Group level and managed to hit the places when staying on late in the day at Haydock.
He has been a little bit hit and miss over the course of the last couple of seasons but the Trainer and Jockey combination are in good form and this is a lower level than where he’s been pitched in previously.
This is just his third start handicap company after being solely campaign at listed and Group level for his career to date and the drop-in class could well see him improve on his initial starts and he’ll be sure to be staying on late in the day provided they go a good gallop.
