2022 Masters Top Debutant
Seamus Power Top Debutant at 22/1
It looks a straight shoot out between the two hottest golfers on the planet this year and it'd take a story as dramatic as Greg Norman's collapse here for anyone else to be slipping on the green jacket around midnight. There have been some tempting top debutant prices as the week has progressed and I think a few are off heading into the final round also. There have been plenty of swings in this market all week and I suspect we could get more today. Gooch, Spaun, and Higgs lead the way on 3 over par whilst Straka, Power, Varner and Hoge lie a further three back. Those three back of the leaders could easily challenge the front of the market and I'll happily have a small bet on Seamus Power overcoming the deficit this evening. The Irishman ranks 15th OTT and 23rd on Approach this week and I think that long game will provide the opportunities to make birdies today. Harry Higgs is the only golfer in this debutant category to play better than Power from tee to green this week and if this continues Power surely has a chance of closing the gap considerably on the remainder. For that reason the 22/1 looks a shade too big.

Mcilroy/Morikawa Two Ball
Rory Mcilroy to Win Two Ball at 21/20 & Rory Mcilroy w/o Scheffler, Smith & Im at 14/1
Rory McIlroy can count himself a little unlucky not to be in the shake up this week with only a cold putter being his undoing but a great final round at the Masters is certainly not beyond him. His poor final rounds here have only arrived when he has been in or around the lead at the start on Sunday. On those other occasions he has shot 69,68,69,71,66,69,69. When the pressure if off here McIlroy can freewheel and I expect him to score well in decent conditions today. He is up against Morikawa who has played similar golf to McIlroy all week without holing much on the greens. With McIlroy's experience and tendency to shoot impressive final rounds here I'm happy to take Morikawa on and a nibble on him at 14/1 in the market without Scheffler, Smith and Im is worth the gamble.
