It's a difficult job to land an antepost wager in Golf as so much is determined by recent form and predicting the landscape in 4-6 months time is a tough gig.

The goal here is to find a few in the market who could halve in price and if you manage to get one or two of those throughout the course of the year the task is a success, regardless of how they perform on the week.

The Masters 2026 Tips

Cameron Smith To Win The Masters

The Masters is almost always won by an elite golfer and of course there are numerous trends around the year's first Major so we can still narrow down this search.

If the golf course is wet on the week it removes a lot of the potential winners so we can't get too heavily involved and as always taking opportunities when they arise if a player wins a tournament is often the best way to get value in these markets.

Cameron Smith has an outstanding touch on the Augusta greens and should he arrive with his driver in form could go off a fair bit shorter than the current 66/1. We last saw the 2022 Open Champion when he finished runner up to Rasmus Neergaard Petersen in the Australian Open in December.

In that event Rory McIlroy went off a 9/2 favourite whilst Smith went down to post a 28/1 shot. McIlroy is 7/1 for a repeat of last years Masters feat, but we can get Smith at an inflated 66/1. The Aussie's records at Augusta reads 55-5-51-2-10-3-34-6-CUT.

He is now entering what is seen as the perfect amount of Masters attempts before getting over the line in one and should his form continue on from that fine effort in Melbourne and manage a victory on the LIV circuit we can probably guarantee this price chopping in half.

PGA Championship

PGA Championship 2026 Tips

Cameron Young To Win The PGA Championship

The PGA Championship heads to Aronimik in Pennsylvania which increases the chances that colder weather could impact this event. Nevertheless, the last ten renewals of this Championship have been won by an American and undoubtedly the organisers have this event well and truly setup to be taken apart by one of their own.

Bombers thrive at this event also so it pays to concentrate on this profile. Scheffler and Dechambeau hold all the aces in an event like this and if Xander Schauffele arrives in form expect him to take up a chunk of the market also.

If either 3 of those win an event before the end of May I'd expect their prices to stay the same, should they win two then they could shorten a bit, but right now they don't look like antepost wagers in the slightest.

Cameron Young however really does look like a bet having gained his maiden victory at the Wyndham last August and who finished the year really strong. 5-11-4 throughout the playoff events was a fine effort whilst 9th at the Procore then 10th at the Hero showed he didn't lose any of the magic over the Winter.

He gathered the most USA points in the Ryder Cup alongside Xander Schauffele and having gone close before in 2022 missing the playoff by a shot at Southern Hills could give this event another scare in 2026.

He has managed two top tens in four Masters appearances also so could arrive here hitting plenty of the key trends.

US Open 2026 Tips

Tommy Fleetwood To Win The US Open

Shinnecock Hills should provide plenty of drama for the US Open but if anyone is to be relied upon at this event and on this venue then it is Tommy Fleetwood.

I was quite vocal that I believed Fleetwood was the clear second best golfer in the world towards the end of 2025 and following his breakthrough victory on the PGA Tour at East Lake he manged a top up on the DPWT in India six weeks later.

2nd in Abu Dhabi then 3rd at the season finale in Dubai meant Fleetwood continued his remarkable form right through year end. He missed the cut at last years US Open but his form thereafter read 2-34-16-3-4-WIN-46-21-WIN-2-3.

He reached the peak of his powers and quite rightly DataGolf have him slotted in as the world number two. It would be a huge disappointment should Fleetwood not challenge in one or two Majors next year as undoubtedly that should be his target now having achieved more or less everything in the game without landing the big one.

The US Open provides an equally good chance as the Open Championship in my opinion and having finished runner up here to Koepka in 2018 he could quite easily go off third favourite in this event around the 12/1 mark should he land one more victory in the States before the Summer.

Open Championship 2026 Tips

Max Homa To Win The Open Championship

The 2017 Open Championship renewal at Birkdale was the best in living memory with Spieth providing one of golfs truly best days viewing. He and Kuchar went at it during the final round and there is no doubt this course is a little more strategic than other Open venues.

Length isn't as important and instead nowing where to place the ball and avoiding danger becomes paramount. Spieth did that so well (for the most part!) back in 2017 and I expect a similar type to succeed here again.

I'm taking a bit of a chance here as he is not yet exempt but I'm hopeful of a really good start to the year for Max Homa and he'd fit the bill for somebody who can plot his way around Birkdale if we get favourable conditions. He had a solid end to 2025 with two top 20 finishes at the Procore and Sanderson Farms then a top 10 finish in Utah.

He will not have liked being absent from the Ryder Cup squad and I expect a bounce in 2026. With two previous victories at the Genesis and a win at the Farmers Homa has plenty of events in his beloved California in the first half of the year to rise the rankings and qualify for the Open through either a top 50 in the OWGR or a place high up the Fedex points list come halfway in the year.

It's a risky one and try get on wherever gives you a refund, but Homa is a nice fit for Birkdale should he manage to qualify and Americans are often underestimated in this event.
