Ginger Joe's Thursday 2-ball tips and predictions.
1pt Treble at 4/1 (Ladbrokes)
Cameron Young to win his 2-ball
Akshay Bhatia to win his 2-ball
Wyndham Clark to win his -ball
Cam Young had a fantastic Masters and he really is starting to look like the complete player. He comes up against Jordan Speith who a lot of punters seemingly think this course suits him more due to it being a shorter track, but I think the game Cam Young has far outweighs that of Jordan Speith this season.
Akshay Bhatia should really enjoy this course with a premium being set on positional play off the tee and a strong approach play from the mid irons down. He should be able to post a number good enough to beat Nico Echavarria here.
Wyndham Clark is startinng to find some form again, and that akes him dangerous here. His shot shape is a heavy fade, but he is very controlled with it off the tee, and his approach play was notable better last week at the Masters. Another player that should score well here.

1pt Double at 9/4 (Ladbrokes)
Tommy Fleetwood to win his 2-ball
Patrick Cantlay to win his 2-ball
Tommy Fleetwood was the next player on my squad list, but he just missed out. However, I do think despite playing against class act Sam Burns, I think Tommys game is really well suited to this course. He is better than Burns off the tee, and he is more consistent with his irons. I’d hope that consistency plays to his advantage over 18 holes.
Patrick Cantlay is far from my favourite player, but if any course is going to suit his game, then this is it. His iron play especially in the middle of the bag is his best part, and he will have a lot of shots from those distances this week. He should be able to beat Corey Conners at this course.
