Turkish Open 2026: Niall Lyons Betting Tips From 20/1 to 60/1

Personally I think it's a real shame this event ever left the Montgomerie Maxx course in Antalya as it provided a lot of drama down the stretch. The Regnum wasn't quite the same but this time around we have a brand new layout for the DPWT schedule with the National GC in Belek taking centre stage.

The course held an event on the old Challenge Tour over ten years ago so we don't have an awful lot of to go on in terms of past results. It does certainly appear to be an interesting venue though as there was only one player under par at the end of the week after that Challenge Tour event and with any luck we will see a tough assignment once again. It's easy to see why that happened with really tight fairways here surrounded by tall trees which immediately makes you think Valderrama. Form at Wentworth should not be ignored either.

Tip 1: T.McKibbin - 4pts Each-Way (1/5 8)

Undoubtedly when LIV golfers tee it up on the DPWT they have a really good record and 11/1 about Puig is certainly worth considering. At double that price though my preference is for Tom McKibbin who could put his driver to really good use here around the National track. The Irishman displayed what he could do around a tight golf course when he won in Fanling, Hong Kong last year.

Add in 4th at Valderrama as well as 10th and 11th at Wentworth and we have someone who is both long and straight off the tee who can gain significant advantage on the field off the tee. A recent 5th at Chapultepec should be solid preparation as well given the tree lined nature of that golf course in Mexico. His victory at Green Eagle looks like another relevant golf course looking at the test this week.

Overall he is in form finishing alongside Hatton and in behind Rahm in Mexico and given his outing at the Masters also he has been mixing it in much loftier presence than what we see here this week. Puig has similar credentials and I wouldn't out anyone getting involved with the Spaniard this week but it blows my mind that Angel Ayora is generally 8pts shorter in the market than McKibbin and their careers are much different to date, and their future has similar potential where I'd argue that McKibbin's is actually higher.

McKibbin will strip fitter for an outing at Augusta and the fact that we see some of his best golf on courses such as this really, really excites me this week. Hillier disappointed when favourite last week whilst Schaper hasn't been seen in six weeks. Puig remains the big danger to McKibbin and those opting to stake heavily on McKibbin could do worse than having a small saver on the Spaniard. I'd argue they should be 1-2 in the market here and McKibbin probably rates as my favourite bet of the year to date.

Tip 2: N.Kimsey - 1.5pts Each-Way (1/5 8)

Nathan Kimsey bounced back from a couple of missed cuts during this Asian Swing to finish 6th last week in China and that could be a springboard to better things and more like the form he was producing prior to this swing. The Englishman kicked off the 2026 campaign with four top 12 finishes in five appearances and that will guarantee him his playing privileges next season. With pressure off maybe we will now see the best of him and with any victory he will put himself into the conversation of a PGA Tour card for next season.

He is one of a handful who actually played the Challenge Tour event back in 2014 so he will have knowledge of the place. He ranked 9th from tee to green last week and a similar effort will see him in the mix again. He struggles with length off the tee so there are plenty of venues which don't suit him on tour. Accuracy is his strength with the driver and this course should really set up well for him. An impressive 28th on his only effort around Wentworth in a much stronger field bodes well and I'm surprised he's not considerably shorter after last weeks effort in China.

Tip 3: F.Molinari - 1pt Each-Way (1/5 6)

I'd have preferred another run out for Francesco Molinari following India but I simply can not resist backing him at 50/1 or above here this week. He was a similar price in India with Akshay Bhatia in tow that week when he finished 6th and this test in Turkey should be ideal for the former Open Champion.

Molinari has stepped up his efforts lately and you have to go back to October 2025 since he last missed a cut. 10th in the Nedbank last December has been backed up with top 6 finishes in the Dubai Desert Classic and in the Indian Open. 18th with his irons in Hainan was followed by 2nd in the same department in India and in Molinari we have someone with a decorated career who can follow in Bernd Wiesberger's footsteps and put himself back on the map this week.

A victory and a runner up at Wentworth is relevant to this test and he can give the favourites something to really think about here.
