Michael Smyth has two greyhound tips for Friday’s card at Romford.
21:11 Romford
All eyes on Romford this evening with the Coral Essex Vase semi-finals taking centre stage. Outright betting is available with 2024 Bet365 Challenge Cup, Champion Stakes and Coronation Cup winner New Destiny heading the market at 13/8.
You can watch all the action live on the At The Races greyhound channel, Sky Sports Racing red button or via bookmaker streaming services.

The first Coral Essex Vase semi-final at 7.44 looks wide open with Icemans Girl in T1 and Aayamza Sydney (T4) fancied to go well.
At 8.01 it looks like a race into the first bend between Droopys Eunice in T1 and Fabulous Sonique in T2, don’t rule out strong staying Mad For Sterling in T5 or solo wide seed Brigadir Brindle out in T6.
At 8.19 New Destiny lines up from T1, if the Mark Wallis trained railer gets it right at the boxes it should be all over bar the shouting. Good luck to all those involved with runners this evening, it promises to be a cracker.
In the Respect The Ref open race at 9.11 over the six-bend 575 metre trip at the London Road venue Romford I like the look of DROOPYS LOST from T2.
The Maxine Locke trained middle seed looks well drawn to ping out and clear the pace inside, if that happens, she will take all the beating.
Droopys Lost is currently odds against with track sponsors Coral, that will look huge value this evening if she brings her trapping boots and kicks for home off the second bend.
21:46 Romford
The final race on the Romford card at 9.46 can go to well-drawn railer BUBBLY ATHENA in T1. Athena was off the track from mid-August until late December, two recent course and distance runs would have blown away the cobwebs and she should be spot on now and ready to win.
In a weak looking open race at Romford, I fancy Athena to pop out, hold the rails and lead off the second bend, once on the bunny it’ll take a good one to back run her.
