Michael Smyth has two greyhound tips for Saturday’s card at Central Park.
19:44 Central Park
Firstly, a little bit of housekeeping with the 2024 Coral Essex Vase final line up now confirmed. Heat winners Newinn Cloud, Droopys Eunice and Scammer are joined by runners-up Aayamza Sydney, Fabulous Sonique & last but not least ante post favourite New Destiny. The final takes place next Friday at the London Road venue and it promises to be a cracker.
This evening it's all eyes on Central Park for the rescheduled Cesarewitch semi-finals over the six-bend 731 metre trip. Last week the meeting was abandoned due to the low temperatures, tonight’s forecast looks better with temperatures due to stay above zero. Catch the action live on the Attheraces greyhound channel, Sky Sports Racing red button or via bookmaker streaming services.

Ante post betting is available with all major firms. The Mark Wallis trained flying machine Garfiney Blaze heading the market at 2/1 with Betway, Droopys Flare is next in at 4/1 with Fabulous Heka at 15/2.
The first semi-final of the Cesarewitch at 7.44 can go to youngster DROOPYS FLARE in T5. The Doncaster raider bolted up at Sheffield in late December and then in the first round of this competition he recorded a track record 43.87 from off the pace, he's a potential six- bend superstar and with anything like a clear run he will take all the beating this evening. Droopys Flotilla is a class act but is drawn a little wider than ideal in T4, she will be heading for the rails and lid rise.

At 8.01 in the second semi-final of the 2025 Cesarewtich CHAMPYS GIRL (T1) appeals at a huge 50/1. The March 23 daughter of Ballymac Cashout caught my eye in the heats two weeks ago, following a moderate break she showed nice pace into the corner and was about to turn handy but met serious trouble, she then turned nearer last than first and did well to qualify. This evening with Head Count (T2) inconsistent at the boxes Champys Girl has a chance to hold the rails and turn with the pace, if that happens its race on at huge odds. Breton Molly (T4) & Alright Gordy (T6) are both class acts and warrant respect.
8.01 Central Park - CHAMPYS GIRL (T1) 0.50 Point win at 50/1
