DROOPYS ALLDEWAY (T1) - 1.5 Point win

At 7.44 in the Ashwells Retirement Home Maiden Stayers open race, DROOPYS ALLDEWAY appeals from T1.

The Paul Young-trained youngster has kept good company over four-bends of late running against the likes of Romeo Ability, Romeo Alliance, Magical Luka and Scooby Diamond.

Tonight, on six-bend debut, the October 2023 son of Droopys Sydney looks well-drawn to lead round and make all. The key to the race is the break and run into the corner.

It's imperative that Alldeway leads round and kicks for home off the second bend. Droopys Invent is a decent performer over course and distance, he rates as the danger from T2.

8.01 Romford

FABULOUS SONIQUE (T2) - 1 Point win

The Premier Greyhound Racing Champion Trial Stakes open race at 8.01 is a cracker with Untold Paange in T1, Fabulous Sonique T2, Missile One (T3) and Gary The Arb (T4) all more than capable of taking this.

This race is all on the break, whichever greyhound leads round will prove very hard to beat. The preference at the prices on offer is for Coronation Cup winner Fabulous Sonique from T2.

The Mark Wallis-trained railer looks well-drawn to hit the front early on and, once on the bunny, she's a class act.

8.36 Romford

CRANNON LADY (T5) - 0.50 Point win

The third and final selection today is CRANNON LADY who lines up from T5 in the Stewarts Birthday Bash open race at 8.36 over the eight-bend 750-metre trip.

At first glance, Crannon Lady may appear outclassed in an open, having run A3 at Swindon recently, but that bare form doesn’t tell the whole story.

Having watched the videos of her recent runs, Crannon Lady often pops out and is then outpaced early on before she stays on well over an inadequate 476 metres.

Tonight, if she traps well, she can turn with the pace and then it's race on at a price.
