BETWEENTHESTICKS (T3) - 1 Point win at 2/1

At 7.44 in the Roger Barton 80th Birthday Stakes open race over the eight-bend 750 metre trip BETWEENTHESTICKS appeals from T3. The Matt Dartnall-trained Oxford raider will be making her Romford and eight-bend debut this evening over a distance that should suit. In recent weeks Betweenthesticks has caught the eye, staying on well over 650 metres at her home track. Tonight, granted a clear run, she can make her move at the seventh bend and power clear of the chasing pack. Commanche (T2) rates as the main danger.  

8.36 Romford

INNFIELD FIFI (T3) – 1 Point win at 5/1

A little later on, one that should go well is INNFIELD FIFI, who lines up from T3 in the Chaz N Baz Halloween Stakes open race at 8.36 over the eight-bend 750 metre trip. Last week, over course and distance, Fifi missed the break when drawn on the rails in T1 and a line can be put through that run.

Now drawn in T3, and with a chance to lead round Fifi looks a value pick this evening at 4/1. Although over the marathon trip all eyes will be on the break with Innfield Fifi (T3), Gothic Kitty (T5) and Bright Jewel (T6) all looking to lead round.

FABULOUS SONIQUE (T1) - 1 Point win at 5/4

The third and final selection this evening is the Mark Wallis-trained flying machine FABULOUS SONIQUE, who runs from T1 in the Romford Friday Night Stayers final at 9.11. Sonique is a class act over this six-bend 575-metre trip as she proved back in July when winning the Category One Coral Coronation cup. Tonight, with a level break, Sonique can hold the rails and kick for home off the second bend. On the bunny she would prove very hard to beat. Droopys Eunice rates as the main rival from T3. Bubbly Babs (T2) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast and tricast bets.
