Romeo Tomcat has won ten on the bounce and is worthy favourite in the Category One Coral Gold Collar final at 4.53 but at the prices on offer I’m with RACKETHALL BRTUE in T1 to swoop late and fast to claim the £10,000 prize money.

Romeo Tomcat will attempt to make all from T5, but kennelmate Slick Sentinel (T6) can show plenty of early pace, as can Droopys String in T2. If they bump at the corner, Brute will be looking to make his move down the back straight and power clear of the chasing pack off the final bend.

The third and final selection today is UNDERGROUND ARLO, who lines up from T1 in the Corals Finals Day 500 Maiden open race at 5.12 over the standard four-bend 500-metre trip. The Paul Young-trained November 2023 son of Droopys Sydney caught my eye last time out over course and distance on Hove debut. Alro met plenty of trouble that day but ran a race full of promise and went into my notebook.

Today, with a nice draw to work from, he has a chance to lead round and make all. Powerhouse Duke from the Seamus Cahill kennel rates as a danger from T4.
