At 6.45 in the Arc Maiden Trophy, RAPIDO BENNY appeals from a rails draw in T1. The Ricky Holloway-trained debutant has impressed in trials, clocking 29.88 and then 29.55 last time out around the Nevill Road circuit Hove. Benny is improving with each visit to the race and tonight, on competitive debut he looks well-drawn to lead round and make all. Romford raider Zenith Legend rates as the main danger from T3. The Dave Mullin-trained October 2023 son of Droopys Sydney shows plenty of early pace and would be a runner on the bunny.

The Arc Novice Stayers Trophy at 7.05 can go to the Seamus Cahill-trained railer YOUGO FREDDIE in T1. The Hove-based runner has caught the eye a number of times in recent weeks, staying on well over the four-bend 500-metre trip. Tonight, on six-bend debut over 664 metres at Central Park Freddie can hold the rails at lid rise and lead off the second bend. If that happens, it’s race on. Slippy Thriller looks well-drawn in T6 as the solo wide in the race and could attract support.
