ROAD TO DUBAI (NAP) (best price 5-2) has proven himself a likable and consistent horse all season and with no question marks about stamina on tonight’s prevailing conditions, a potentially forceful ride from the front could bring rewards for George Scott’s inmate. A dual winner at Goodwood this season, the Aqlaam gelding was unlucky to have his pocket picked close home by the useful Galactic Prince when trying to make all the running on his latest outing at the Sussex venue two starts ago, but with subsequent winner and improver Koeman back in third, the form has stood the test of time. Undone by a tactical mess of a race at Newmarket last time out, things didn’t pan out to his liking, but now back at a track which should play nicely into his strengths, the three-year-old has a decent chance of getting back on track with a useful amateur booked.

DANDYS GOLD (best price 7-2) has been running consistently well this season and that good run of form looks set to continue at a track which should play into her strengths. Although beaten fair and square on her last two starts, the daughter of Dandy Man has been in fairly deep up against the likes of improvers Silverkode and Music Box and even in defeat her time figures stack up well in context of tonight’s race. Prior to that, William Fitzpatrick’s inmate had beaten two subsequent winners in the shape of Magwadiri and Dinky Inty in tidy fashion at Gowran and if she can run to a similar level here this evening, there’s a decent chance she can resume winning ways.

THE RITE ARTICLE (best price 5-1) arrives here in decent shape following several smart performances in victory and defeat and he looks primed to go well again providing the ground dries out and doesn’t ride too soft (favourable forecast). A game winner two starts ago at Bellewstown, the son of Definite Article was unlucky to bump into the in-form Presenting Julio at Limerick on his latest outing, but he certainly did more than enough to suggest his winning run isn’t necessarily at an end.
