COURT LIABILITY (NAP) (best price 13-8) landed a decent bumper on his rules debut at Fontwell 26 days ago and he’s taken to make an instant impact over hurdles in a race where very few count. Exchanging hands for a cool 230k after finishing second in an Irish point-to-point, Harry Whittington’s charge provided connections with an instant return on their investment at the Sussex venue when he battled on tenaciously to fend off two persistent challengers from the home turn.
Moreover, the clock revealed he’d posted quite a smart speed figure for a bumper and as he’s likely to prove an even greater force over further in time, he’s clearly not short of pace either. A are raider for his handler at today’s track, hopefully he will reward the long trek up north before going on to much better things.

LAID BACK LUKE (best price 7-2) looked on good terms with himself when scoring by a wide margin on the Flat when last seen and he’s fancied to translate that sort of form back to fences 22 days on. Setting out to make all the running at the Co Kerry venue, Sheila Lavery’s inmate defied conventional wisdom that afternoon by being the only horse to win running against the outside track bias that was built up over the course of the eight-race card and although that tactic was largely borne out of the fact he likes to race on his own, it was still an excellent effort by the nine-year-old. Impressive when adopting a similar front-running role at Fairyhouse back in January, the son of Quws will prove difficult to pass if he obtains an uncontested early lead.
