Three strong fancies from our resident tipster today.
15.40 Chepstow
Without sending out too many of his big guns so far this season, David Pipe has quietly gone about his business in an efficient fashion and one of those responsible for his rich vein of form, DAKLONDIKE (best price 11-8) is fancied to follow up Saturday’s easy Wetherby success. The son of Gold Well has had his quirks in the past but the combination of the tongue-tie and cheekpieces clearly worked wonders for his mind as he travelled supremely well all the way through the 3m journey at the Yorkshire venue. Readily pulling clear in the closing stages, the five-year-old posted a decent set of numbers for the grade and with conditions and track set to suit this afternoon, a statutory penalty may not be enough to prevent him from going in again.
17.25 Dundalk
The maiden won by Sarrochi at Leopardstown 11 days ago was easily the best of the two divisions on the clock, so having run with great promise to finish a creditable fourth, HELLO BRIGETTE (NAP) (best price 7-4) rates a decent bet to build on that performance and make her experience count on her second outing. Always to the fore at the Dublin track, the daughter of Kodiac kept on well enough in the closing stages despite being swallowed up by the deep-closers inside the final furlong and with the tenth horse home that day, House Call, going on to advertise the strength of the form with a decent effort at Naas at the weekend, confidence is high that she can take a similar step in the right direction.
18.10 Kempton
