Two tips today from Andy Holding, both running at Ffos Las.

Those with previous experience over today’s track often have a significant advantage over their rivals who haven’t set foot at the Welsh venue and being as though DELFACE (best price 4-1) is the only C&D winner in the field, he makes plenty of appeal at the morning price despite Tom Scudamore preferring to ride Max De Brazil.
In cracking form since having a wind op during the summer months, David Pipe’s gelding arrives here in excellent heart following a series of solid efforts in similar handicaps and his latest display when runner-up to the in-form The Crazed Moon, highlights his current wellbeing. Prior to that useful performance, the son of Della Francesca has run out a comfortable winner over the same C&D a month earlier and as both races were run on pretty testing conditions, you can see he’s also got a decent record over today’s track. Indeed, one of his three career victories was gained in a maiden hurdle here a year ago and this reliable and consistent type look set to go very close again with ideal conditions in his favour.

GONE PLATINUM (NAP) (best price 4-1) is a veteran of ten races at today’s track and that important knowledge he’s gained over the years will no doubt stand him in good stead on his return to chasing in this competitive handicap. A game winner at Bangor the time before when he worried the smooth-travelling Cracking Destiny out of the argument close home, the son of Mountain High was brought out quickly six days after in order to capitalise on his old mark over hurdles and although that bold move ended up in failure, he certainly didn’t disgrace himself with an excellent second to progressive youngster, Golden Whiskey. Although the 10-year-old could hardly be described as a win machine, it’s noticeable that his two victories over fences have been achieved off the back of a sound pace and with today’s field consisting of several who like to force a decent gallop, David Rees’ gelding should get the perfect tow into the backend of the contest he desires.
