Two tips today from Andy Holding, both racing at Exeter.

ROSSERK ABBEY (best price 9-2) couldn’t quite secure is second win in as many starts at Ffos Las last time out, but he did more than enough to suggest there’s more races to be won with him while in his current frame of mind.
A comfortable winner of a 2m5f handicap over today’s course a month ago, Kevin Bishop’s gelding was sent off favourite to follow up at the Welsh venue nine days later and having cut the running for majority of the journey, he only succumbed to the superior stamina of the eventual winner, Special Princess. That performance, however, at least proved that the son of Fruits Of Love stays three miles on soft ground well enough and now heading back to the scene of his career-high effort, there’s a decent chance he can regain the winning thread.

DE NAME EVADES ME (NAP) (best price 9-4) could turn out to be a very well handicapped horse over fences based on his opening bow at Chepstow a month ago and he’s strongly fancied to back up that view in this competitive-looking novices’ handicap chase.
Still holding every chance at the second last at the Welsh track, Fergal O’Brien’s gelding just couldn’t quite live with the classier pair, Ardlethen (rated 142) and Lisnagar Oscar (141) from that juncture, but he did impress by the way he kept on well in the closing stages to finish an honourable third – in turn, well clear of subsequent winner Trucker’s Lodge (now rated 139). Looking back at some of his better races over hurdles last season, it’s worth remembering he finished second to very smart Aux Ptits Soin (rated 157) in a Class 2 handicap hurdle at Cheltenham and safe with the knowledge that he seems to have taken well to fences as all his previous experience from the point-to-point sphere suggested he would, the son of Vinnie Roe can take full advantage of a lenient mark of 127 and provide his in-form handler with another winner.
