Two tips today from Andy Holding, including a NAP at Wincanton.

FINAL LEGACY (best price 5-2) arrives here in a rich vein of form and his good run looks set to continue over a C&D that suits him well. Yet to finish out of the first two on four starts over the straight five furlongs at the Midland venue since returning to the fray at the turn of the year, Derek Shaw’s gelding gained his due rewards for his consistency when getting the better of Amazing Amaya in a driving finish at the beginning of the month, a performance given extra credence because of his unfavourable high draw. Once again done little favours by the ballot, posted 8 of 8 on his return visit five days later, the son of Coach House only narrowly failed to overcome the track bias when just losing out to Piazon on the bob, but that effort once again went some way to prove his current wellbeing. Better housed today towards the far side and having already accounted for today’s favourite, Gorgeous General, in his victory two starts ago, the four-year-old makes plenty of appeal at the morning prices.

KAYF ADVENTURE (NAP) (best price 7-4) was heavily involved in a race that produced a fast speed figure at Ascot last time out and providing he’s come out of the race with the pep still left in his step, Philip Hobbs’ gelding can regain the winning thread.
A little in-and-out over the last two seasons, there have been one or two bright sparks along the way including a better effort in a competitive handicap at Chepstow on Welsh National day two starts ago. Clearly gaining confidence from that improved effort, the son of Kayf Tara was able to build on that display at the Berkshire venue 39 days ago and it was a run that very much suggests he’s back in the groove. Always on the sharp end of a strong pace, the nine-year-old kept on willingly all the way to the line and with the ever-reliable Happy Diva given the form a solid feel to it, there’s no reason to be believe he didn’t run to somewhere to a career high. Moreover, the fifth, sixth and seventh home have all run well since and with potential of first-time cheekpieces bringing about a shade more improvement/concentration, he has every chance of adding to his fine track record that currently reads 212.
