Horse racing expert Andy Holding has two tips for today's meetings.
ASK PADDY (best price 5-2) has developed a real affinity for today’s course and following another solid effort at the Yorkshire venue last time out, the nine-year-old looks on the verge of striking again.
Only once out of the frame in seven previous visits to the sharp, left-handed track, including four victories, Sam England’s gelding ran close to his very best when a creditable third to the useful Didero Vallis over the C&D two weeks ago and considering he made a complete Horlicks of the penultimate ditch down the back straight, his performance deserves slightly upgrading. Best in small fields when racing wide and dominating, hopefully the son of Ask can get into a nice jumping rhythm that is usually part of his game and although it could be argued slightly softer ground may suit him best, his appreciated for the track and a drop in ground compensates for that minor negative.

STREET VALUE (best price 13-8) is improving at a rapid rate of knots and being the only C&D winner in today’s line-up, he’s fancied to take advantage of that all-important track knowledge and complete his hat trick.
Well backed to make a winning debut for new connections at Clonmel back in January, John Flavin’s gelding totally justified the money in his direction in what looked a competitive handicap on paper and that victory prompted similar support on his latest start over today’s track. In what turned out to be a proper slog in the testing conditions, the son of Well Chosen eventually came good despite looking in trouble turning out of the back straight and with heavy ground very much in the ascendancy on his return to the Co Kilkenny venue, this relentless galloper will be in his element more than most.
