After picking up two winners yesterday at 8/1 & 9/4, whilst also selecting a 33/1 each-way return, Architect Tips has four tips for today's racing.

This doesn’t look like the strongest of maiden hurdles to open proceedings at Bangor and connections of GINGER DU VAL (best price 4-1) will be hoping this mares consistency will be rewarded as she bids to finally get her head in front having performed well to reach the frame in three consecutive races for this stable already this term.
She returned a dual bumper winner when trained in France and has run well from the front in each of her last three outings since the hood was applied, including last time at Worcester. That form looks pretty strong in the context of today’s slightly-weaker grade as the runner-up, Mulberry Hill, won here last week, while the winner, Heartbreaker, won by seven-lengths on the flat last week, too. She’s up against less-exposed rivals again here, which isn’t ideal, but she hasn’t done a lot wrong for connections and has signalled more than once that her turn might be near. This track often suits confirmed front-runners and her experience will count for plenty against today’s field which could easily be the contributing factor to her going close here with Ben Bromley claiming his valuable seven-pounds.

The Nightingale House Hospice Handicap Chase, at Bangor, looks the most interesting race on the card and the price tag about the very capable FINGERONTHESWITCH (best price 14-1) has significantly underestimated his chances here.
Neil Mulholland’s veteran clearly isn’t the force of old but he has continued to fall in the weights and it was only in January last year that he scored in a class-2 event from a 3Ib higher mark over this three-mile trip after which he ran a great race to finish a half-a-length second in the Sky Bet Handicap Chase (Listed) at Doncaster from a mark of 132 when just finding OK Corral too strong at the end as the pair pulled clear of the remainder. He’s now an eleven-year-old, and isn’t getting any younger, but I’m not quite sure why he’s priced up as high as he is in comparison to a few of those shorter than him, especially when you take into consideration his trainer and jockeys recent good run of form. Even though he looks to have been totally dismissed by the bookmakers judged on his odds, there’s a decent chance he will exceed those expectations and potentially run a big race here. Sam Twiston-Davies is riding at the top of his game of late, too, operating at an outstanding 25% strike-rate in the last fourteen days to support his claims.

Wigglesworth heads the market on the back of his smooth victory here last time but the form of PRESENTING YEATS (best price 9-4) victory at Newton Abbot looks a lot stronger and the bottom weight is fancied to follow-up in this weaker assignment from only a four-pound higher mark with conditions to suit.
His trainer and jockey teamed up for a good third yesterday, courtesy of hurdling debutant Aliomaana and this improving five-year-old stepped forward from his third at Worcester when belatedly opening his account in good style at the expense of a 93-rated sort last time when racing from six-pound out of the handicap, too. He’s four-pound higher today, but the manner in which he drew clear from his nearest rival two out last month suggested he’s in top-form and a repeat of that level down in grade with no weight on his back may well suffice.

Croupier is undeniably the one to beat down in grade but at 13/8, at the time of writing, makes limited appeal from a betting perspective and I like the claims of handicap debutant GAIUS (best price 12-1), each-way, getting three places for the Richard Hannon and Sean Levey combination.
This Colt by Havana Gold, offered plenty of promise in his first couple of starts, placing in a couple of strong-looking novice events that have worked out strongly, including his third here in June. He wasn’t beaten far behind Great Max, who subsequently chased home the high-class Reach For The Moon in a Group 3 over the weekend, while the second, Harrow, bolted up in a class-2 nursery at York last week. That form certainly brings her into the equation here and, despite finishing down the field on his penultimate outing, he got back on track when third at Windsor most recently, where he travelled really well but kept on at the one pace afterwards behind an impressive debutant winner. I firmly had him in my tracker on the back of that eye-catching display and opening mark of 77 on handicap debut doesn’t seem inconceivable either, so with more to offer and a strong pace scenario likely to see this well-bred youngster in even better light, he could be very competitive here.
