Our horse racing expert Andy Holding has two tips for today's action, one running at Gowran Park & the other at Worcester.

COURT OF APPEAL (best price 9-2) had to go down as a massive hard lucky story at Navan last week and turned out quickly by connections in order to take advantage of his current wellbeing, Noel Hynds’ gelding looks poised to make amends.
A convincing winner of a big-field handicap at Leopardstown previously, it was therefore quite a surprise to see the son of Golden Horn sent off a unconsidered 16-1 chance at the Co Meath venue and there’s little doubt he would have made a mockery of that starting price had he receive anything like a clear run. Held up going well turning for home four days ago, the four-year-old went for a daring run up the inside but just as he was about to deliver what appeared a potent challenge, he had the door slammed in his face. Hitting the line quite hard without being subjected to maximum pressure, he left the impression there was plenty left in the tank and on the evidence of that display, he should be going close in this slightly easier race on paper.
ADMIRAL’S SUNSET (best price 5-2) beat a strong field in pretty decisive fashion at Stratford last time out and now that she’s finally got the monkey of her back over fences, David Weston’s mare can continue to make hay.
A consistent, if slightly frustrating character going into that competitive six-runner affair at the Midland venue, highlighted by her 0-13 record over the larger obstacles, the eight-year-old turned the theory on its head that she was a dodgy betting proposition by handing out an eight-length whipping to several in-form chasers. Not only did she impress with the manner of victory, her winning time figure and final lap sectionals were way beyond the normal expectations of a 94-rated horse, so to come out of that romp with a 10lb hike is all fair in love and war. Clearly well suited by a strongly run two miles on a flat track, today’s race with Swaffham Bulbeck and Mix Of Clover in the field should be run at a heathy enough gallop and providing she’s in the same sort of form as she was 13 days ago, there’s no reason why she couldn’t repeat the dose.
